What is the ruling on the impurity of involuntary urination for those who do not wash their bedding, and what is the ruling on the impurity of the ground after prayer and walking on it and before it is washed?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
If you are not certain about the presence of impurity, then nothing is required of you, because the default state is purity, and this default state is not abandoned except with evidence. Likewise, when in doubt about the transfer of impurity, its transfer is not ruled; because the default state is purity. Unless you are certain that you touched the impure spot while your foot or hand was wet, impurity does not transfer. Some scholars also hold that if urine dries, the ruling of impurity does not transfer to anything wet that touches it. It is also advised to avoid obsessive doubt (waswasa).
