How does one perform ablution if one has a sprained foot and has covered one-third of it with a bandage? Should one wipe over the bandage and wash the exposed part, or perform tayammum, given that wiping over a splint is not established?

If the bandage is for medical purposes and there is fear of harm or difficulty in removing it, then it takes the ruling of a splint (jabeera), and it is permissible to wipe over it while washing the rest of the uncovered part of the limb.
