Is it permissible to perform tayammum for one who fears missing the funeral prayer in congregation, with the exception of the deceased’s guardian?

Funeral Prayer requires ritual purity (taharah (definition)) from both minor (hadath (definition)) and major (khabath) impurities, just like other prayers. However, some scholars have permitted tayammum (definition) (dry ablution) for those who fear missing the prayer by engaging in ritual purification. This view was preferred by Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and is a position held by some Maliki scholars. Those who hold this view do not differentiate between the deceased's guardian (wali) and others.
