Masturbation is forbidden by Islamic law and is among the steps of Satan. Committing it in carries a greater sin. Whoever does it while fasting and ejaculates, his fast is invalidated, and he must repent, make up the fast, and perform (ritual bath). Shyness from family members is not an excuse to delay ghusl and miss prayers. One must stop this habit, offer sincere repentance, adhere to acts of obedience, seek righteous company, and ask for forgiveness.
