Maintaining the cleanliness of the Mus'haf, both internally and externally, is a religious requirement. It is not permissible to clean its interior with water, lest its pages be damaged. Dust can be removed by wiping it with a dry cloth. Papers containing revelations and Islamic sciences must be preserved and not treated disrespectfully. The questioner is warned against falling into (obsessive whispering) and advised to disregard it and not pay attention to it.
