Is the reward for reciting the Quran from a book of Tafsir equivalent to the reward for reciting it from the Mushaf for someone who is in a constant state of ritual impurity?

The reward for reciting the Quran is attained by merely reading it, whether from the Mus'haf (physical copy) or otherwise, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah will have a good deed, and a good deed is multiplied by ten. I do not say that 'Alif, Lam, Meem' is one letter, but 'Alif' is a letter, 'Lam' is a letter, and 'Meem' is a letter." If a person can combine reading from the Mus'haf while contemplating its meaning, that is better. For someone who is constantly in a state of minor impurity (da'im al-hadath (definition)), there is no harm in reciting from memory. However, if they read from the Mus'haf, ablution (wudu') is necessary, unless it causes undue hardship, in which case touching the Mus'haf without ablution is permissible. One who recites the Quran from books of tafsir (definition) (exegesis) receives the reward of reading from the Mus'haf.
