The answer

We do not have an infallible report regarding the story of the People of the Cave; rather, it is from the narrations of the Children of Israel. It was reported that they were sons of Roman kings, whom Allah blessed with Islam, so they withdrew from their people to the cave and slept for a long period, until their people perished and a Muslim nation emerged. Allah resurrected them to demonstrate that both the soul and the body will be resurrected. It is mentioned that Decius, the Roman king who promoted Zoroastrianism, persecuted them. When they entered the cave, the entrance was sealed, then Decius perished, circumstances changed, and a Muslim king arose. The religion is complete, and the stories of the Quran and suffice over others.
