Why were pornographic stories forbidden, while reading Qur’anic exegeses like “Al-Tafsir Al-Muhit” was permitted, despite their inclusion of words that might be considered "lewd" or "hybrid" and were not reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) or his companions (may Allah be pleased with them)?

It is forbidden for a Muslim to read pornographic stories due to the indecency, evil, and imaginative depiction of lewdness they contain. However, there is no harm in the poetic evidences found in books of Tafsir (definition) (Qur'an exegesis) to clarify the meanings of Qur'anic words, as Ibn Abbas listened to and cited the poetry of Ibn Abi Rabi'ah.
