Ahmad, Abu Dawud, and Ibn Majah reported the , "Recite Yasin over your dead." However, the hadith is weak due to the presence of unknown narrators in its chain of transmission. As for the phrase, "Yasin is for that for which it is recited," it has no basis. The arrival of the recitation of the Quran to the deceased has already been explained.
