The answer

The virtues of knowledge are immense. For a student of knowledge, the recommended books are: In Aqeedah (creed), "A'lam As- Al-Manshurah" and "Al-Aqeedah Al-Wasitiyyah." In Usul Al-Fiqh (principles of jurisprudence), "Al-Usul min Ilm Al-Usul" and "Al-Waraqat." In Fiqh (jurisprudence), we advise adhering to the prevailing (school of thought) in one's country and starting with "Daleel At-Talib" with a proficient shaikh. In Mustalah Al- (hadith terminology), "Al-Manzumah Al-Bayquniyyah" and "Tayseer Mustalah Al-Hadith." In (Quranic exegesis), "Muqaddimah fi Usul At-Tafsir" and "Tayseer Al-Kareem Ar-Rahman." In (rules of Quranic recitation), one must learn from a skilled memorizer. "Al-Ajurrumiyyah" is also recommended for Nahw (grammar), and "Hilyat Talib Al-Ilm" for the etiquette of seeking knowledge. One can benefit from audio commentaries of books for those who do not have access to a shaikh, while committing to a structured schedule.
