What is the ruling on the prostration of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahw) when making a mistake in Al-Fatiha and repeating it, either by repeating a verse or the entire surah after stopping at the first mistake, and when should the prostration be performed?

Errors in Al-Fatiha must be corrected because it is a pillar [of prayer]. Repeating it without a valid excuse is disliked. If a linguistic error occurs in Al-Fatiha that alters the meaning, such as pronouncing the taa’ in "an‘amta" with a dammah, then the prostration of forgetfulness (sujood as-sahw) becomes obligatory. However, if the meaning is not altered, there is no sujood as-sahw. The Malikis hold that sujood as-sahw is obligatory if Al-Fatiha is repeated out of forgetfulness or to achieve the sunnah (definition) of reciting aloud or silently.
