The answer

If illicit wealth was acquired through unlawful means (such as usury, gambling, or working with alcoholic beverages), its possessor must spend it on charitable causes for the poor and needy. It is permissible for the possessor to take from it according to their needs if they are in need. However, if the illicit wealth resulted from theft or usurpation and the owner of the wealth is known, it must be returned to them or to their heirs. If the owner is not known, then it should be given as charity on their behalf.
