The answer

We advise diligent study of the rulings of Hajj before embarking on the pilgrimage. It is Islamically impermissible to use perfumed deodorants during Hajj if the scent reaches non- men. However, its use is permissible if the woman is exclusively among other women. There is no harm in congratulating one's husband on Eid al-Adha. Kissing without lust does not invalidate Hajj, nor does it necessitate a compensatory sacrifice (), by scholarly consensus. As for kissing with lust, it is forbidden for a pilgrim in a state of before the first release from ihram. It necessitates a compensatory sacrifice (dam) according to the majority of scholars, but it does not invalidate Hajj. However, according to the Malikis, it invalidates Hajj if ejaculation occurs. Scholars differ regarding the ruling on foreplay (mubasharah) with lust between the two releases from ihram. It is advisable to avoid kissing before the second release from ihram, which is achieved by stoning al-Aqabah, shaving or shortening the hair, and performing al-Ifadah with Sa'i. The first release from ihram is achieved by two of these three acts.
