Is it permissible to offer as a sacrifice an animal that is six months old—knowing that fattening feeds give it a large size—if the meat of an animal that is slightly more than two years old is difficult to cook?

Among the conditions for an Udhiyah (definition) (sacrificial animal) to be valid is that it must be from livestock (camels, cattle, and sheep/goats), and it must have reached the age stipulated by Sharia (definition). Thus, no camel is sufficient unless it has completed five years, no cattle unless it has completed two years, and no goat unless it has completed one year. As for sheep, a (jadha') is sufficient, which is one that has completed six months. Accordingly, sacrificing a cow that is more than two years old is correct, and a cow less than two years old is not sufficient.
