Is it permissible to combine the Aqiqah and the Udhiyah during Hajj, or must the Aqiqah be slaughtered for the family members who were not accompanying the pilgrim?

For the aqiqah (definition) to be valid, it is not a condition that it be performed at home or that the family partake of its meat. Rather, it is permissible for the child's guardian to perform the aqiqah on their behalf wherever they are, and it is permissible to appoint family members to carry out the aqiqah. As for the ruling on combining the aqiqah with the udhiyyah (sacrificial animal for Eid al-Adha) with a single intention, scholars have differed on this matter.
