The answer

Antarah ibn Shaddad al-Absi was a pre-Islamic knight and a first-rate poet from Najd. His mother was Abyssinian. He possessed excellent character and a noble spirit, described as forbearing despite his intense prowess. His poetry exhibited tenderness, and he was deeply enamored with his cousin, Abla. There is no mention in the books of or Athar that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ever mentioned Antarah ibn Shaddad al-Absi in any narration. The statement attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "I have not heard a description of an Arab whom I would rather meet more than Antarah," has no basis.
