Does the Prophet's (PBUH) threat to the wine-drinker of poverty and that his family be fornicated with come to pass even if he repents and turns to God?

The prohibition of adultery is well-known both religiously and instinctively. However, it has not been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that the perpetrator of adultery is punished with poverty or that his family will suffer the same fate as he inflicted upon others. Whoever is afflicted with adultery or any other sin and repents with sincere repentance can hope for safety from its punishment in the hereafter and from its effects in this world, because sins have negative consequences for a person. This is affirmed by the Almighty's saying: "And whatever strikes you of disaster – it is for what your hands have earned; and He pardons much." And for the repentant adulterer who does not invoke another god with Allah, nor kill the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right, nor commit adultery, Allah will exchange their evil deeds for good ones, as stated in Surat Al-Furqan: "Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful."
