Does the term "muhdith" in the Prophet’s saying: "May Allah curse whoever harbors a muhdith" refer only to the innovator, or does it also include the sinner? And if it includes the sinner, does it include every sinner and perpetrator of a sin, whether minor or major? And what kind of harboring is it that makes a person deserve the curse? Should one host their relatives, brothers, and family members who are sinners? And is welcoming these relatives considered harboring a muhdith?

"A 'muhdith' (innovator/perpetrator of an evil act) includes the oppressor, the criminal, the innovator in religion, and the corruptor. Sheltering a 'muhdith' means supporting him, protecting him, and defending him. Allah and His Messenger have cursed whoever commits a 'hadath (definition)' (evil act/innovation) or shelters a 'muhdith,' and this includes relatives and others. As for someone who commits a minor sin or a private transgression whose harm does not extend to others, there is no evidence that they fall under this hadith (definition). The curse mentioned here refers to the punishment deserved for the sin, and it is not like the curse upon a disbeliever."
