The question

Are the following hadiths authentic in all respects, and are they found in Sahih al-Bukhari: 1. On the authority of Asma bint Abi Bakr, may Allah be pleased with her, who said: "We used to cover our faces from men, and we used to comb our hair before that while in ihram." 2. On the authority of Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, who said: "The believing women used to attend the Fajr prayer with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wrapped in their cloaks, then they would return to their homes where they would complete the prayer, and no one would recognize them"?

The answer

The of Asma was reported by Ibn Khuzaymah and Al-Hakim, who authenticated it, and Al-Dhahabi concurred. As for the report of Aisha, it was narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim, and its wording is: "No one recognized them due to the ghalas," meaning intense darkness.
