Has a hadith been narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with the wording: 'I have left among you that which, if you hold fast to it, you will never go astray after me'?

The was not narrated with the exact wording mentioned. However, Al-Baghawi narrated it in his with similar wording from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): "I have left among you that which, if you hold fast to it, you will never go astray after it: the Book of Allah." Al-Tirmidhi narrated it with similar wording from Zayd ibn Arqam and Habib ibn Abi Thabit: "Indeed, I am leaving among you that which, if you hold fast to it, you will not go astray after me." It also appeared with similar wordings in Muslim and other collections.
