The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta issued a fatwa (definition) invalidating the authenticity of a widely circulated supplication that claims great virtue. It also contains the phrase "Ali is the Vicegerent of Allah" with a specific Shiite (Rafidhi) connotation, and it claims entry into Paradise for anyone who recites it, even if they commit major sins. The Committee emphasized the necessity of destroying these publications and warning against them, and of seeking knowledge about religious matters from people of knowledge.
