Is the Hadith: "I saw, on the night of my Isra', a white pillar, and while I was asleep, I saw the pillar of the Book snatched from under my pillow, so I thought that Allah Almighty had abandoned the people of the earth. Then I followed it with my gaze, and behold, it was a shining light placed in Al-Sham." Then one of the Companions – I forgot his name – said, "Choose for me, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "You must go to Al-Sham," authentic or weak, and did Al-Tabarani narrate it with trustworthy narrators?
Al-Tabarani narrated a stating that the pillar of the Book was stolen and placed in Al-Sham, and Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar graded its chain of narration as (good). Al-Hafiz also cited another hadith in Al-Fath through the route of Abu Darda’ and authenticated its chain of narration. Furthermore, Abu Dawud narrated another hadith stating that the matter will devolve into mobilized armies: an army in Al-Sham, an army in Yemen, and an army in Iraq, and advised adherence to Al-Sham because it is Allah’s chosen (land). This hadith was authenticated by Ibn Hibban and Al-Albani. Therefore, what was mentioned in the question comprises two hadiths, not one.
