Ibn Majah narrated from Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Three whose prayers do not rise a handspan above their heads," and he mentioned among them "a woman whose husband spent the night displeased with her." Al-Albani graded it . The meaning of the is that the prayer is not accepted, not that it is invalid. The threat mentioned is to be taken literally, and Allah may, if He wills, go back on a threat, but He never goes back on a promise.
