Is writing the Noble Qur’an with ink made from treated remnants of sheep dung and wool considered a degradation of the Holy Qur’an?

Two things must be observed regarding the ink used to write the Qur’an: its purity (taharah (definition)) and its not being repulsive (mustaqdhar). The preponderant opinion is that the droppings of animals whose meat is permissible to eat are pure, based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) hadith (definition) about drinking the urine and milk of camels. The mere fact that the ink is made from the hindquarters of a sheep does not make it repulsive, especially after boiling it. There is no harm in using the aforementioned ink to write the Qur’an, as long as it is not repulsive. However, it is more cautious to avoid it to steer clear of scholarly disagreement.
