The question

The answer

The "What is between the navel and the knee is awrah" was graded (good) by Al-Albani and Al-Arna'oot. It has been narrated through several chains, the strongest of which is what Ahmad narrated from Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather. Al-Uqayli deemed it weak, while Al-Albani and Al-Arna'oot graded it hasan. There are other very weak chains, including what Al-Hakim narrated from Ishaq ibn Wasil and Asram ibn Hawshab (accused of lying and abandoned), and what Al-Daraqutni narrated from Saeed ibn Rashid and Abbad ibn Katheer (both abandoned), and what Al-Harith narrated from Dawud ibn Al-Muhabbir (a chain of weak narrators).

As for the second hadith concerning the prohibition of intoxicants (), gambling (), and the kubah (drum), it was narrated by Abu Dawud from Ibn Abbas, and its (chain of narration) is (authentic). It was authenticated by Ibn Hibban, Al-Albani, and Al-Arna'oot.
