What is the clarification regarding the contradiction in Sheikh Al-Albani's ruling on the two hadiths "Do not expose your thigh, and do not look at the thigh of a living or dead person" and "Do not uncover your thigh, and do not look at the thigh of a living or dead person" between "Da'if Al-Jami'" (Collection of Weak Hadiths) and "Sahih Al-Jami'" (Collection of Authentic Hadiths)?

The disagreement among scholars regarding the authentication and weakening of narrations is a common occurrence, due to their differing views on the status of narrators, or due to a change in the ijithad (independent reasoning) of a single scholar. The hadith (definition) "The thigh is awrah" has a weak or very weak chain of narration, as mentioned by Al-Albani. However, due to its numerous corroborating narrations (shawahid), it reaches the level of sahih (definition) (authentic), because these narrations strengthen one another and none of them contain an accused narrator. Their defects revolve around اضطراب (disruption), جهالة (unknown status), and a probable weakness, which makes the heart مطمئن (reassured) regarding the authenticity of the hadith.
