What is the authenticity of the hadith "Indeed, souls are recruited soldiers" and what is the meaning of "The believer is affable and is befriended"?

The two aforementioned hadiths are authentic. The first is in the Two Sahihs, and its meaning is: "Souls are like recruited soldiers; those that recognize each other will harmonize, and those that do not recognize each other will diverge." The reason for this is the familiarity that occurred between souls in the world of pre-existence (alam al-dharr). As for the second hadith (definition), it is authentic, and its meaning is: "A believer is approachable and makes friends; there is no good in one who is not approachable and does not make friends."
