The aforementioned was narrated by Muslim, on the authority of Umm Kulthum bint 'Uqbah, and it states that the liar is not the one who reconciles between people and says good things or conveys good. Muslim added, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, that he had not heard of any concession for anything people say that is a lie, except in three instances: war, reconciling between people, and a man's conversation with his wife and a woman's conversation with her husband. This Hadith does not reach the level of Mutawatir, but it is among the Ahadith Ahad (solitary narrations) which may convey knowledge if supported by corroborating evidence, such as the Ahadith in the Sahihayn.
