What is the authenticity of the hadith: "There is no connection for one who withholds"?

There is no known hadith (definition) with this exact wording attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. However, authentic hadiths have been narrated with a similar meaning. Among them is what Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "(There is no prayer in the presence of food, nor when one is suppressing the two vile things [urine and feces])." Imam An-Nawawi, may Allah have mercy on him, clarified that this is due to the dislike of praying in the presence of food that one desires to eat, as it distracts the heart and diminishes perfect khushu' (devotion). It is also disliked to pray while suppressing the two vile things (urine and feces). Similarly, Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "(It is not permissible for a man who believes in Allah and the Last Day to pray while he is haqin until he relieves himself)." "Haqin" refers to suppressing urine or feces.
