What is the ruling on marrying a girl with whom one has committed fornication, knowing that she lost her virginity with me due to a prolonged illicit relationship, and we still love each other and wish to marry, but current financial circumstances do not permit it?

Adultery is an abomination and an evil path. Allah Almighty has forbidden approaching it, and this prohibition includes everything that leads to it, such as friendships, seclusion, and looking. Adultery is one of the gravest sins, and its harm is immeasurable. The Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned that there is no sin greater than adultery after polytheism, and that adulterers will witness torment in the Fire. Furthermore, an adulterer does not commit adultery while he is a believer; rather, faith temporarily departs from him. The narrations of the hadith (definition) illustrate the ugliness and danger of adultery, and call for repentance and cutting off unlawful relationships to avoid Allah's wrath and punishment.
