The answer

Adultery is an abomination and an evil path. Allah Almighty has forbidden approaching it, and this prohibition includes everything that leads to it, such as friendships, seclusion, and looking. Adultery is one of the gravest sins, and its harm is immeasurable. The Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned that there is no sin greater than adultery after polytheism, and that adulterers will witness torment in the Fire. Furthermore, an adulterer does not commit adultery while he is a believer; rather, faith temporarily departs from him. The narrations of the illustrate the ugliness and danger of adultery, and call for repentance and cutting off unlawful relationships to avoid Allah's wrath and punishment.
