The 'iddah (definition) (waiting period) for a pregnant woman whose husband has died ends upon her giving birth, even if that occurs a moment after her husband's death. The proof for this is Allah's Almighty saying: "And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they deliver their burdens," and the hadith (definition) of Subai'ah al-Aslamiyah, which states that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ruled that she was released from her waiting period upon giving birth.
