Is it permissible to recite Surat Al-Baqarah with the intention of protecting one's mother's home, even if the mother resides in another country?

The lesson lies in reading Surat Al-Baqarah in the house to expel Satan from it, not in the person of the reciter. So, if the Surah (definition) is recited in any house, Satan will flee from it, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not make your houses graves; indeed, Satan flees from the house in which Surat Al-Baqarah is recited." Thus, Satan flees from the house where Surat Al-Baqarah is recited, and this includes any place where it is recited, whether it is a house or otherwise. The Hadith (definition) encourages the remembrance of Allah in homes and not to leave them devoid of remembrance.
