The answer

The circulated with the wording: "O Allah, safeguard me from , and safeguard Ramadan for me, and accept it from me," is weak in its chain of narration () back to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.

Another form of supplication was narrated from Al- Al-Basri as mursal: "O Allah, safeguard it for us, and safeguard us from it."

Al-Tabarani also narrated with a good chain of narration from Makhool that he used to say upon the arrival of Ramadan: "O Allah, safeguard me for Ramadan, and safeguard Ramadan for me, and accept it from me."
