Was the Prophet (peace be upon him) conjoined in the eyebrows, and what is the evidence for that from the authentic Hadiths?

Regarding the description of the Prophet's eyebrows, peace and blessings be upon him, two hadiths have been narrated: The first is the hadith (definition) of Umm Ma'bad, "thick and conjoined" (azajj aqran), meaning connected. The second is the hadith of Hind ibn Abi Halah, "thick eyebrows, long without being conjoined" (azajj al-hawajib sawabigh min ghayri qarn), meaning separate. Both hadiths are weak, but there is no harm in narrating them as they do not pertain to lawful or unlawful matters, belief, or action.

A number of scholars have favored Hind ibn Abi Halah's description, stating that the Prophet's eyebrows, peace and blessings be upon him, were separate, because conjoined eyebrows were not considered praiseworthy among the Arabs. Imam Ibn Nasir al-Din considers the description of "conjoined" (al-qarn) in Umm Ma'bad's hadith as not being a known characteristic of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and that the correct description is the negation of "conjoined." It is possible to reconcile the two descriptions by suggesting that the gap between his eyebrows was slight, only noticeable to a keen observer.
