What is the ruling on sprinkling water on invisible urine stains in a carpet when one is unable to locate them?

The ruling concerning the urine of a boy who eats food or is older than two years is the same as that for the urine of an adult, in terms of the obligation to wash whatever it contaminates on clothes, body, or place. It is sufficient to pour water over the spot of impurity until it covers it. There is no need to remove or wring out carpets, based on the hadith (definition) of the Bedouin who urinated in the mosque, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded that a bucket of water be poured over his urine. If the exact spot of the urine is known and washed, then the entire carpet is purified. However, if the spot of the urine is unknown and ambiguous, the carpet will not be purified except by washing it entirely.
