Is a female student residing in university housing traveling a distance of 300 km without a mahram, despite being in trusted company, considered a violation of the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel a day and a night's journey except with a mahram"?

A woman is not permitted to travel a distance that allows for the shortening of prayers (qasr) without a mahram (definition), even if it is for study or with trustworthy female companions. If a mahram is not available, she must seek a place of study that does not require travel. However, once she is residing at the place of study, the presence of a mahram is not a condition, but the place must be safe for her religion, her person, and her honor.
