What should a wife do if she was unable to join her husband, who resides in France, because her father refused to let her travel?

The default is for a woman to reside with her husband wherever he resides, as long as he is trustworthy and provides her with suitable housing. A father does not have the right to prevent his daughter from traveling with her husband unless he fears harm to her from the husband or from the travel.
