What is the ruling on paying money to be exempted from service in the National Guard, and what is the ruling on giving one's name to a brother to open a commercial shop, knowing that the state prohibits this?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
Paying money to escape from a job without a valid reason is considered a forbidden bribe. The forbidden bribe is paying money to achieve something one does not deserve. Exemption from work without a reason is not a right of the employee. Both the briber and the bribed are cursed if they are in agreement in intention and will to attain falsehood. However, whoever gives to attain a right or repel injustice is not included in the threat.
