It is not permissible for a Muslim to forge anything for himself or for others in order to obtain money or a position, due to the forbidden deception and lying involved. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever cheats is not from me," and Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, fear Allah and be with the truthful." Repentance to Allah Almighty is obligatory, by feeling remorse and resolving not to return to it. It is permissible to continue working if the work is performed as required, without informing the employer, to avert harm, for the rule is: "There shall be no harm or reciprocating harm."
