What is the ruling on sharing a car, such that one provides the car and the other drives it, and the monthly income is divided into three parts: one part for the car owner, one part for the driver, and one part for maintenance and fuel? And what is the ruling on a sheep owner partnering with his shepherd, such that they divide the sale price equally?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
It is not permissible to give sheep to a shepherd to raise them in exchange for a share of their selling price, because the compensation is unknown. However, it is permissible to hire him for a known period for a known share of the sheep or half of them, in which case the hired person owns his share of the sheep from the beginning of the contract.
