Is it permissible to play the Holy Quran aloud in the workplace, especially if it affects the performance of other employees and causes them annoyance, and what is the ruling on one who plays it despite the objections of others, and is one who requests to lower its volume sinful?

The virtue of reciting and listening to the Quran is an accepted fact. However, it should not be recited or its sound raised in places where people might be disturbed or are occupied with their work. The Hafiz mentioned that raising one's voice with the Quran at night is commendable if it does not harm anyone. Al-Ruhaibani prohibited raising the voice of a reciter in markets due to the preoccupation of their occupants and their lack of listening, considering it a form of disrespect. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade raising one's voice with the Quran if it resulted in harm, as stated in his saying: "And let not some of you raise their voices over others in recitation during prayer."
