The question

What is the ruling on working as a drawing teacher, which includes teaching how to draw animate beings, and is the teacher sinful if she orders students to draw them while she herself avoids drawing, and is leaving this job, which is not currently needed, considered a form of ingratitude for blessings?

The answer

It is impermissible to draw animate beings due to the severe warning associated with it. However, if the image is devoid of facial features such as eyes, mouth, and nose, or if it is incomplete like a body without a head, or a head without a body, or if it is headless, or if that which sustains life has been removed from it, then its permissibility is more apparent. If there is sometimes a need to draw a complete image, your profession is not rendered forbidden, and you should minimize the reprehensible act as much as possible. Abandoning this work out of caution against doubtful matters does not constitute ingratitude for blessings.
