It is impermissible for a woman to expose her forearms (up to the elbows) in front of non- men, except out of necessity or need, based on the Almighty’s saying: "And He has already explained to you what He has forbidden to you, except for that which you are compelled to" and "But whoever is compelled, neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him." The argument of germ transmission is not considered a necessity that permits exposure. The sleeve of the garment can be replaced with another sterile item that covers the forearm.
