Is it permissible to give zakat to a needy sister and inform her that it is from someone else to avoid embarrassing her?

If the sister mentioned has sufficient means to cover her needs, then she is wealthy and not eligible to receive zakat (definition). However, if what she possesses is not sufficient for her, then it is permissible to give her zakat, and it is better as it combines charity and kinship. There is no need to inform her that it is zakat; it can be alluded to. It is not permissible to inform her that the money is sent from a specific person if that is a lie, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, truthfulness leads to righteousness... and indeed, lying leads to immorality..."
