If a father gives an allowance to his daughter with the condition that she does not donate any of it as charity, then the condition must be fulfilled. As for jewelry: If it is not made of gold or silver, there is no Zakat due on it. If it is made of prohibited gold or silver (such as that bearing images of crosses), Zakat is due on it if it reaches the nisab (definition) (85 grams for 24-karat gold, 97.5 grams for 21-karat gold, and 595 grams for silver), and 2.5% of its weight is to be given. If the daughter is unable to pay it, the Zakat remains a debt upon her, and it is not permissible to take it from her father's wealth without his knowledge. If the jewelry is permissible gold or silver adornment, there is a difference of opinion regarding the obligation of Zakat on it, with the majority holding that it is not obligatory.
