If you have a contract with a company for your salary to be paid monthly, and then it delays payment, if this is due to its inability and lack of liquidity, then it is excused, based on the words of the Almighty: "And if he should be in hardship, then [let there be] postponement until [a time of] ease." However, if it is for reasons other than inability, then it is a prohibited delay and injustice, based on the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "The delay of a rich person [in paying his debt] is injustice."
