What is the ruling on giving Zakat al-Fitr to another person after intending to give it to a specific person who then delays coming?

al-Fitr must be given before the Eid prayer, and it is not permissible to delay it unless there are no deserving recipients. If the Zakat is given on the second day of Eid, one's obligation is fulfilled.
