Is helping the husband with household expenses and the children's education considered zakat for gold that does not reach the nisab and whose value cannot be saved?

If the gold reaches the nisab (definition) (minimum taxable amount) and is not intended for personal use, then zakat (definition) is definitively obligatory on it. This zakat can be paid from the gold itself or from other assets, such as cash. It is permissible to give zakat to one's poor husband with the intention of zakat at the time of payment. However, if the gold is intended for personal use, then there is no zakat on it according to the majority of scholars.
