Is it permissible to give Zakat to a relative who wishes to prepare his daughter for marriage but does not possess the means to do so, and owns land?

We have previously clarified that it is permissible for a man who is unable to equip his daughter to take from Zakat (definition) what is sufficient for her equipping, if custom dictates this. He is not obliged to sell his land if its sale would affect his basic needs. However, if the value of the land is high and provides sufficiency after selling it and purchasing necessities, then it is not permissible for him to take from Zakat. The wealth that prevents one from taking Zakat is the presence of sufficiency, whether one owns the nisab (definition) (minimum taxable amount) or not, because the needy person is entitled to Zakat even if he owns the nisab if it is not sufficient for him.
