Is zakat obligatory on the licensed jambiya and pistol?

There is no zakat (definition) on weapons, pistols, clothes, and the like, unless they are for trade, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no sadaqah (definition) (zakat) on a Muslim for his slave or his horse." This is because these are assets for personal use, not for trade. However, if the dagger is made of gold or silver and reaches the nisab (definition), or if its owner possesses other gold or silver that completes the nisab, then zakat becomes obligatory at that point.
